What are devlder16 & devcon32.dll error messages? The
computer locks up on startup with these messages.

I'll take your first spelling of devldr16 as that is supplied with
your Creative Labs sound card.
Devcon32.dll is also a Creative Labs file.
Try reinstalling the drivers.
